Two-wheeled action and adrenaline

Bike park fun in Ticino

Do you like mountain biking and e-biking, but are looking for extra thrills? Then we have just the thing for you.

Summer is all about outdoor adventures and activities amidst nature. When you spend your summer in Ticino, you can look forward to panoramic bike rides and e-bike tours through dense forests, across vast meadows, and down narrow trails. There are tours galore that take you along dedicated bike routes, meaning you won’t encounter any pedestrians or hikers on the way, only various kinds of bike. There’s a good reason why Lenzerheide is known as the Bike Kingdom – because it’s a place where mountain bikers are the kings and queens of the trails!
It’s obvious why Ticino is so popular with bike fans: It spoils you with plenty of sunshine, pleasant temperatures, and varied terrain, including in autumn, when rain and fog already dominate the landscape in other areas of Switzerland.
Especially rewarding routes include the almost 12-kilometre-long Carí Bike, the Alpi Bedretto Bike to Capanna Corno Gries, the Bovarina Bike tour, and the Monte Bar Bike tour. As there’s something to suit all levels, bike lovers of all abilities are sure to find just the route for them.
If you’re looking for more of an adrenaline kick, you need to pay Nara Bike Park a visit to experience the downhill trail called the Black Wood Line, a red trail that’s 3.3 kilometres long. The first section is around 800 metres long and is located at 1,900 metres above sea level, featuring a multitude of bends and some (single and double) jumps. Then comes a technical stretch with several ups and downs before you reach the area around “Palo21”. Afterwards, the trails leads through the forest, where you can look forward to even more jumps. After a short but speedy section, you ride through a more level wooded area with bends and jumps. The last section is the ultimate test of your skills: It’s 300 metres long and relatively technical with challenging bends and jumps at full speed.
